About Our Nonprofit Organization Capitol City Young Writers is a national 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young writers up to and including high school. Our goal is to educate today's youth on the art and craft of writing, so as to encourage their own love of writing. Students are exposed to fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, screenplay, broadcast radio, songwriting, and many other forms of creative writing.

The resource page is in the process of being updated and created - please check back soon. Get up to date information on local and regional writing contests in a variety of different genres. A CCYW blog will be available soon so that you can ask any of your board members questions related to writing, entering contests, attending conferences, and more. Their vast array of experiences create an opportunity for them to act as youth mentors and provide valuable insight into the world of writing from a youth's persepctive. |
